Instructions
1 If making sweet potato fries: preheat your oven to 400 F. Toss the potato wedges in a bowl with olive oil, salt and pepper. Pour onto a baking sheet, spread them out so they have room and place the sheet on the bottom rack of the oven. Bake for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway. 2 Make the sauce: combine all the sauce ingredients in a bowl. Taste and adjust flavors as needed! Set aside. 3 Grill or cook your burgers in a pan: Salt each side of the burger before cooking. We cooked ours with a splash of avocado oil (it has a higher smoke point) on a grill pan but you can use a little olive oil too. Make sure the pan, if you're using one, is VERY hot. Cook burgers according to your preferred level of done-ness. Add cheese slices on top in the last few minutes of cooking. 4 Assemble the burgers! On the bottom half of the bun, spread a generous amount of sauce. Then add the cheese-covered burgers, followed by pickles if using, tomato, lettuce and finally, the top part of the bun. (I slathered more sauce on the other bun before topping the burger with it! Enjoy immediately with a milkshake and a side of sweet potato fries if desired.View original recipe
